“How did these incidents achieve almost instant nation-wide attention?”
Pretty simple. They fit the AGENDA of our Leftist Enemy Media.
Held up by race hustlers and media as martyrs.
Bull sh!t made it special. The facts were not out, but the race hustlers made sure the event would be publicized and polarized. Once the facts came out, it did not matter. They had invested too much to let the volume be turned down.
The vast majority of A CERTAIN MINORITY MISUNDERSTOOD [or willfully ignored] the facts. Without the truth, these cases reinforces a certain minority’s idea that they are big-time VICTIMS!
HOLDING ONTO THE NARRATIVE MEANS SHUTTING OUT THE TRUTH.
But why these two? They aren’t the only black males who have been shot by police or citizens.
These cases are important because they are being used to underscore the radical critique of American culture. “Whites want as little to do with blacks as possible and resent paying taxes to support blacks. Cops are racist goons that protect whites and will readily kill black males. Blacks know that whites would kill them off if they could.these two deaths are an example”. This is the same narrative that the grandfathers of the current editors and reporters of the NYT and the progressive media were writing in 1965 and are stil promoting today. It is the working narrative on race for the Obama administration and the Democratic Party.
Elections
Major media begins to hype them with associated misinformation.
The Martin case was not even hyped from day one, but began being hyped well after the event.
Who is behind the decision to choose events to hype and how it is decided, I don’t know.
This is simply a Get Out The Vote effort by agitating the black populace.
Limbaugh said that the DNC had set up a registration booth in Ferguson earlier this week.
It is my belief and recollection that both cases were at a time when the media needed something to deviate and distract from what would otherwise be the major news story but unhelpful to the regime. In this case it was crucifixions taking place in Iraq by the caliphate. I recall that when the Florida stuff arose that something similar was distracted from. Beyond that, once the train leaves the station, then the pile-up begins.
The script is written and the players are at the ready. All that is needed is for a convenient event to occur. THEN, it’s off to the races!
Wait til 2016, the next election year, the next Saint D’Juan will surface.
Well said.
It is 60’s New Left.
This narrative has infiltrated even ostensible conservative thought as seen here at FR in the endless posts about police abuse.
Even with elections, these cases are hardly unique or special. I’m trying to figure out why these two cases, of ALL the cases across the country, got such instant attention all the way to the top with almost instant rioting. Other similar incidents don’t receive this amount of attention.
Simply stated, these cases are selected to inflame resentment in the black community. They are distorted to fit the narrative of white supremacy.
I think it’s a good question and I’ve wondered about it myself. For example, there was the case of the guy in NYC who was strangled to death a month or so ago and that of course got some national attention, but it didn’t cause anywhere near the reaction (and riots, looting etc.) that Ferguson and the Trayvon case did. Why? I think it’s an open question and I don’t know the answer, but it occurs to me that if I were a reporter looking for a good story I’d be doing some investigating into all the out-of-state agitators, for a start.
Sad really. Lawlessness, no morals, lack of Family structure (no papa), drug use, the worship of thugs and thieves and gangsters as heroes and community leaders, lack of education, laziness, contempt for anything that isn’t Black, racism within the Black community....
