I work at a major world famous hospital on the east coast where a famous pediatric neurosurgeon-turned-possible-presidential-candidate used to work. Every day they have information in our daily email newsletter about Ebola. How it's spread, what to do if a patient presents with symptoms, etc. Just in case, you know. Today they had a quiz about Ebola. I'm not kidding. I got 100%.

This is the kind of thing they do every year just before flu season, just to raise awareness. They're DEFINITELY trying to raise awareness of Ebola.

Yeah its one of those unnerving things that sits in the back of your mind when you live not far from major hospital. I’ve got the University of Michigan hospital complex about 30 miles away.

My wife works in a hospital as well. They are getting bulletins from the state health department.

Nothing “scary”, just transmission, and symptoms to look for.

I don’t know if these things go out regularly but it’s starting to sound creepy.

Pray tell, and what hospital might that be where you work ?

Fabulous place. My son’s life was saved there. I’m forever grateful. Still don’t like the city where it’s located. Much less the state!

Obola has arrived. It will be mass distributed through Obamacare. You don’t think certain ‘doctors’ are all-in loyal to the regime?

The question to ask is:

Did this patient sit in the waiting room for an hour? How many other patients, family members, and medical personnel had contact with this patient?

Or did the patient come in by ambulance? If this is the case, was the ambulance set up with a contagion chamber? Or is the driver and attendants now Ebola carriers?

Thanks for that info...it’s nice to know the medical industry is
trying to get in front of this potential disaster...

At the Dulles airport, the TSA TV screens warned us about chikungunya, dengue, and Ebola. The risks depend on travel destination.

I am not certain why every hospital that tests a suspect case feels the need to make an announcement about it. Even in travelers to the affected area, the chance that a fever will be Ebola rather than malaria or one of the other hemorrhagic fevers is pretty low.
