Social media was buzzing on the night of August 11th when several people managed to snap photographs of what appeared to be an oval-shaped craft in the sky over Houston during stormy weather.
Some of the images showed the object, which seemed to have a single point of light in its center, situated in the foreground with dark storm clouds looming menacingly behind it. The disc was pictured from several angles by different witnesses and seemed to change position in the air multiple times.
"The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting."

Yes sir!
I’m still around.
So what is the UFO in that pic? The circle of lights or the flying “V” to its right? Maybe that’s the Mother Ship?
You can tell they’re aliens because they can’t spell.
Because Big Foot does not have money to upgrade to a Smart phone.
FWIW pings to the unidentified aerial phenomena list.

Google images for: blue heron silhouette
There’s one great one (with the crest). Both of the ones we saw had the feet together while flying that gave the impression of a tail.
totally a pterodactyl
That was one of our ‘nuclear engine’ attempts. Stanton Friedman can tell you about that one.
Couldn’t use the other one I found.....had a mispelled bad word in it..lol.
That you mistook a blue heron for the impossible pterodactyl therefore makes it likely that someone else would mistake .. what, swamp gas? optical illusions? RC helicopters? ... for saucers that zig-zag, come to full halts, and zip away at speeds so fast the fighter jets sent to chase them are left standing still ... that the fighter jock who later became a Mercury astronaut, just had a trick played with his eyes? Along with thousands of other otherwise perfectly rational observers?
Not likely.
They are totally cool creatures. HUGE. And crazy fast strikes, from stone stillness to lightning, when on the hunt.
LOL! That’s even funnier.
You’d think somebody would take a shot at it, just to see what would happen.
The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus... through a lens flare in a defective camera!
“You dont believe in aliens? I always thought it was presumptuous to think that humans are the only life in the universe.”

To believe that ET is/has been to Earth, I think one also has to believe that there are parallel universes and worm holes, or that one can move faster then the speed of light.
I think that ET life in our solar system has been pretty well ruled out. I do not deny that life in other star systems is quite possible.
