Social media was buzzing on the night of August 11th when several people managed to snap photographs of what appeared to be an oval-shaped craft in the sky over Houston during stormy weather.
Some of the images showed the object, which seemed to have a single point of light in its center, situated in the foreground with dark storm clouds looming menacingly behind it. The disc was pictured from several angles by different witnesses and seemed to change position in the air multiple times.
"The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting."

Space peanut!
From comments at the article:
PS - there’s a superb, if unwitting, demonstration of how this ‘anomaly’ comes about in this image : Note how the *actual* light is blown out, but the reflection of it (caused by an internal lens flare) is symmetrically placed in the opposite diagonal location in the image - just as a lot of lens flares do.. And if you shoot through a curved car side window, or get that reflection off an angled windscreen, then you can get it happening at pretty much any angle.. Busted”
Wait......WHA?!
That doesn’t look like the description, a single point
of light. One almost expects it to say, “Eat at Joe’s”
in the center...
Gee, I dunno, kinda go’n out on a limb here but the Goodyear year blimp maybe?
Not in that weather, unless the operators of the blimp wanted to go out on a limb themselves and risk getting fired.
... not to mention KILLED.
But WAY often, WAY frequently, it takes a much more gullible and naïve person to think so many policemen, pilots, businessmen, and regular joes who've reported in detail sightings of UFOs that certainly go beyond terrestrial technology over the past FIVE DECADES at least, than a person "gullible" enough to just accept the fact that Earth is one planet in about a gazillion and that somewhere on those other gazillion planets there is at least one life form who has figured out space travel.
However, I hope all of us here live to ripe old age still in friendly argument arguing about the existence of UFOs from other planets. It is infinitely better than the alternative. I mean, I saw that Twilight Zone episode, "To Serve Man"!!!!!
IT WAS A COOKBOOK!!! {^)
In this day and age of every iPhone having hi-def cameras, why is it UFO pictures are still grainy and out of focus?
LOL!! Hey, it’s a lot more believable than trying to pass it off as a blimp!
