Social media was buzzing on the night of August 11th when several people managed to snap photographs of what appeared to be an oval-shaped craft in the sky over Houston during stormy weather.
Some of the images showed the object, which seemed to have a single point of light in its center, situated in the foreground with dark storm clouds looming menacingly behind it. The disc was pictured from several angles by different witnesses and seemed to change position in the air multiple times.
"The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting."

Oh they’re real and old. And that is but a small sampling.
As if it would make one friggin' particle of difference if the picture was crystal clear? Really?
It wouldn't matter how clear the photo was. People who "believe" there are no such things, will consider it a photo-shopped hoax. PERIOD.
Wow. The coin is the one that really gets me ...
Those are a form of Houston freeway lighting systems and/or the reflection of same against the night sky. You can see them around 2:58 as the 12 light high mast system.

I choose to believe that y fellow human beings are, in general, honest.
I understand that our eyes and brains can be fooled and that, when someone recounts an experience, that’s truly what they saw - although that may not be reality.
I love magic tricks. I adore them and I refuse to watch anything that shows me how it’s done. I know that I’m being tricked and I love that the illusion has left me with a sense of wonder. I don’t want to know how they did it.
Do I believe in aliens?
Yes. I do. I cannot believe that, in the vastness of the cosmos we’re the only intelligent life to have formed. Do I believe that they’ve visited? I believe that it’s possible.
Have people seen them? It’s possible.
But I understand that the vast majority of sightings are not sightings. They come from that same sense of wonder at a magician’s illusions. That idea that anything is possible.
BTW The late Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr. was a freeper.
His Father brought a piece of the Roswell crash and young Jesse held it in his hand. http://marceljr.com/
The object was described as an small I-beam like object with hieroglyphics.
I'll try to post my own (hoax) UFO pic later to match the one from Houston.
Lets see how close I can get.
Here's a UFO invasion from Mars sweeping across the city
and beaming up their captives for some anal probing.
The pics you posted are easily reproducible by shooting through a window
and holding another pane of glass on the outside grabbing either
a reflection of a Highway lamp or a setup light/object for effect.
I'm sure a probably most UFO "sightings" are either misperceived phenomenon or outright hoaxes. Many things are hoaxes, including the idea that "going green" can "save the planet." But writing off all reports and sightings as hoaxes is as naive as writing off all butter as margarine.
Ironically, it takes a MUCH more gullible person to believe that so many otherwise known, good, proven Americans, ranging from one of the Mercury 7 astronauts to policemen and pilots, were liars of maniacal proportions such that they were willing to jeopardize their entire reputations, than the more realistic, sensible person who believes that GUESS WHAT!! Mankind doesn't know it all in spite of so many who insist it does.
