Felines, felons, what’s the difference?
we adopted a black male kitten —so cute
I love black cats. One hasn’t happened to me in a long time though.
My Grandparents would have nothing but black cats. They thought it made it easier for them to sneak up on rats in the dark.
This is an “anti-Halloween” event, because then, some people adopt black cats to abuse, and then later discard. It deeply bothers cat lovers, but shelters have adopted screening procedures to limit abusive adoptions.
There is a similar problem with adoption of chicken chicks and rabbits around Easter.
We have two adorable black cats plus a little tuxedo cat. They are all adopted from local pet shelters and spoiled rotten. We also have a black Lab....quite a household
Oh yes, I think I saw this on facebook posted by my totally liberal but totally animal loving old friend.
Let me say here what I said there, we have a black cat and she is a lovey. I’ve heard they are in general very sweet cats, maybe having to overcome prejudice for so many centuries.
Adopt a lucky black cat, you’ll be glad you did.
Our black as coal “Poo Kitty” passed on a few years ago. A runt, tiny l’il thing we picked up when she was a kitten. She lived with us 24 years of her life. She kept all the other cats in line.
Shoulda called her Popeye, but wrong gender.
With as many cats as we’ve had her help keeping them in line was appreciated.
Our black cat sleeps all day and hunts all night. Anything smaller than a bread basket is fair game: birds, bats, rabbits, snakes, etc... .We have a pet door so it brings them in- usually alive. Rabbits no problem, but getting bats out of the house really is no fun.
