'I don't have a gun, stop shooting!' Friend recounts Michael Brown's last words ...

and actions before police shot the unarmed teen dead

Mr Johnson said that he and Brown were walking home from a store when the cop told them to get out of the street and 'get the f***' on to the sidewalk'....

The friend said the officer threw open the door which slammed closed again after bouncing off Brown. It was then that the officer grabbed his friend by the neck.

'The time frame was 60 seconds or less, it got out of hand really quickly.'

Johnson said that the officer had drawn his gun by this time and threatened to shoot Michael.

'I seen the fire come out of the barrel,' he told the network. 'I could see so vividly what was going on because I was so close.'

Johnson said the first time the officer fired, he and Brown got scared and ran away but he could already see that the teenager had blood coming down his shirt where he had been shot.

The 22-year-old ducked behind a car but Brown kept running.

'He shot again, and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air, and he started to get down,' Johnson said.

The 22-year-old said: '[Brown] stopped, turned with his hands up and said ''I don’t have a gun, stop shooting!'' 'But the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.'

The eye-witness said despite the teenager's protests, the officer shot again, hitting Brown and leaving him on the ground.

The 22-year-old spoke to MSNBC on Tuesday alongside his attorney, and former St Louis' mayor, Freeman Bosley Jr.

Unfortunately we’re to the point that you can’t believe any of the people directly involved including the police. Hopefully there’s some form of physical evidence that provides a significant clue to the truth.

Once. Shot at? Lots. Shrapnel, twice. (Ok, one was friendly fire. Turned down PH for that). Any more questions?

"It’s the cops who changed my views".

That is because, by and large, they have become enemies of the American People.

All of us.

There's too many of them BY FAR, they have too many weapons BY FAR and they are , for the most part, exempt from the law.

They have become the standing army our founders railed against, and yes, I'll say it again:

They have become the enemies of the American People.

All of us.

Who knows what happened here. We’re only hearing what one “witness” is saying and his “reliability” and honesty are unknown.

The investigators are interviewing everyone involved. I’d hope that some of the “witnesses” that are appearing volunteer for lie detector tests. Hopefully there will be audio recordings of the incident and possibly video.

I’m a FIRM believer in cops having individual video recorders that capture things from the cops’ perspectives if for no other reason than defense of the cops against bogus charges (and also to help weed out bad cops).

There's also something very odd about this politically. I've started thinking like Rush, can't even see the media reaction to the suicide of Robin Williams without wonder what angle they're going to play..

Something's missing here. Jesse Jackson is late to this show. Where is Obama talking about Brown being his kid? Eric Holder? They're holding back for some reason, and it makes me uneasy.

" Don’t believe anything said for at least a week."

The Chief of Police has already stated that the kid was fatally shot 35ft away from the car and he was unarmed.

There are literally thousands of incidents involving police officers every day. If you pick and choose the worst 3 over the last year or so some will be bad.

When is the last time you had to confront an armed, violent thug and did everything perfectly and made no mistakes?

The incidents you describe have nothing to do with what happened to Michael Brown.

I don't know what actually happened. Neither do you.

Stop the irrelevant rants.

All I know is that I’m real glad George Zimmerman didn’t make the force. If he had, all sides would be happily declaring his guilt.

Johnson said the first time the officer fired, he and Brown got scared and ran away but he could already see that the teenager had blood coming down his shirt where he had been shot.

If this is true then the StLouis County Chief of Police lied to the public in his press conference.

He said that the first shot that was fired hit nobody and made a big point about it.

And forensic evidence will be able to demonstrate it one way or the other.

No, barely a drop. Ask a REAL veteran, EMT, or medic. Some gunshot wounds don’t bleed at much all. Any more questions from you keyboard commando? Now the shrapnel? That shit bled like crazy.

If he was in the car fighting for his weapon the cop would have been justified for shooting him in the car.

But the fatal shots were from 35 feet.

“The investigators are interviewing everyone involved.”

Yea. Right. Saw the “witness” just a few minutes ago on the news. He said he hasn’t been interviewed. By the Police anyway. Personally, I’d tell’em to K.M.A and if the D.A. wanted an interview then O.K.

You think the cops want to interview him to find out if their brother did a bad shoot? I don’t think so. And if you do, I’ve got some nice beach front property in Arizona I’d like to sell you.

This guy Brown WASN’T armed, and neither were the other people I mentioned.

And that was not a rant. The next time I’m going to rant I’ll try and remember to ping you.

I don’t know about the Brown matter, I reserve judgment on it. But there is NO EXCUSE for some of the outrageous behavior of LEOs in this country lately.

If they can’t control unarmed elderly men, and women, and children without killing them, they need to find another line of work.

(Still not a rant.)
