A North Carolina woman who went through the drive-thru at a Morehead City McDonald's reportedly found a swastika drawn in butter on the bun of her chicken sandwich. Charleigh Matice discovered the anti-Semitic symbol when she went to put mayonnaise on her food. Matice went into the restaurant and confronted employees about the offensive emblem. When they offered to replace the sandwich, she asked for her money back instead.
"Is this a joke? Does somebody really think they're funny?" Matice told WCTI. "Many people died because of that symbol and it's not something that should be taken lightly. It's not something that should be thrown around."
The station contacted the McDonald's corporate office about the incident and received a statement from the owner of the Morehead City franchise.
According to the statement from owner Dulcy Purcell, the employee who drew the offensive sign was fired.
"We do not tolerate that kind of behavior at McDonald's, and it's not what we stand for personally as owners," Purcell wrote. "It is about providing the best level of service and care to our customers, and anything less than that is unacceptable to us."
Matice was satisfied with the response and will eat at that McDonald's again.
Bovine manure....
Are we the only two commenters who actually read the article?
Not quarterbacking, just stating facts, the Allies did their fair share and then some of targeting civilians. Those who state that only “the other side” bombed civilians are either ignorant or hiding from the truth. The allies bombed civilians for the same reasons as the axis, to break the will of the people to support the war, this had nothing to do with the ability to reliably hit something smaller than a town, or maybe you never heard of Dresden?
The 8th AF targeted the rail marshalling yards and the industrial areas using H2X ground mapping radar.
The RAF targeted the city area.
AFAIK, the US never targeted the city itself as the British did.
History can be a bitch sometimes when you have to realize what your own country does in times of war.
Read the whole wiki article like I did.

The US targeted the marshalling yards and the industrial areas with the latest targeting equipment.
Some of their bombs certainly hit the city, but that was not the intended target. The rail yards were close to built up city areas.
BTW, I have no problem with the bombings of Germany and Japan in WW2.
The RAF dropped 2,659.3 tons on the city and the USAAF dropped 782 and then 465.6 tons on the marshalling yards, as the chart shows.
That total for the 13th-15 of February is 3,906.9 tons dropped. That’s where the 3900 ton figure comes from in the part you picked to copy and paste.

All US airstrikes were on the marshalling yards and industrial areas.
If I was a bored teenaged employee and wanted to try something that might generate a lot of fuss in deadly dull Morehead City ...
I would be offended, but who could make a hammer and sickle out of butter and ketchup? ...................... Mustard! on a red Ketchup background. It can be done.

We are never going to agree on this, but have a good day and a great life.
Those links support my argument, imo.
And I’ve already aid that I don’t care if we targeted civilians.
Civilians build weapons and support armies.
“We are bombing Germany, city by city, and ever more terribly, in order to make it impossible for you to go on with the war. That is our object. We shall pursue it remorselessly. City by city; Lubeck, Rostock, Cologne, Emden, Bremen, Wilhelmshaven, Duisburg, Hamburg - and the list will grow longer and longer. Let the Nazis drag you down to disaster with them if you will. That is for you to decide. We are coming by day and by night. No part of the Reich is safe. People who work in [factories] live close to them. Therefore we hit your houses, and you.” — Pamphlet dropped in Germany by the RAF, Summer 1942
Also:
We in Britain know quite enough about air raids. For ten months your Luftwaffe bombed us. First you bombed us by day. When we made this impossible, they came by night. Then you had a big fleet of bombers. Your airmen fought well. They bombed London for ninety-two nights running. They made heavy raids on Coventry, Plymouth, Liverpool, and other British cities. They did a lot of damage. Forty-three thousand British men, women and children lost their lives; Many of our most cherished historical buildings were destroyed.
You thought, and Goering promised you, that you would be safe from bombs. And indeed, during all that time we could only send over a small number of aircraft in return. But now it is just the other way. Now you send only a few aircraft against us. And we are bombing Germany heavily.
Why are we doing so? It is not revenge though we do not forget Warsaw, Belgrade, Rotterdam, London, Plymouth and Coventry. We are bombing Germany, city by city, and even more terribly, in order to make it impossible for you to go on with the war. That is our object. We shall pursue it remorselessly. City by city; Liibeck, Rostock, Cologne, Emden, Bremen; Wilhelmshaven, Duisburg, Hamburg and the list will grow longer and longer. Let the Nazis drag you down to disaster with them if you will. That is for you to decide.
Eh, I’d like to think you’s be a little more creative than that.
In my experience, all teenagers recognize that you can cause a lot of disruption and get a lot of attention by being “racist” or doing anything with a swastika.
Now if you drew a Hieronymus Bosch paining in butter on the top of a bun, THEN I’d be impressed.
LOL! What about a Hello Kitty?
I love “Combat!”
Saunders is my favorite because he was a solid leader who got things done. Plus, I love Vic Morrow. No one could have played the Sarge better.
May he and the two children who perished with him rest in peace.
