Didn’t their self driving car hit a cat a couple of weeks ago?

Despite the title of his DefCon talk—”How To Weaponize Your Pets”–Bransfield admits WarKitteh doesn’t represent a substantial security threat.

Piker.

Ehrmmm... Rather certain no self-respecting cat would allow itself to be strapped into that. *grin*

Someone could go router sniffing with the same equipment attached to a quadricopter drone and fly it all over the neighborhood.

I dunno - you'd have a hard time strapping the cat to the copter.

People were launching cats with rocket motors back in the 16th century.

I’m sure strapping a copter to a cat today HAS to be a piece of cake!

If your security is WEP what can you do to change it?

As I understand it, the Administrator needs to log in to the router with their password and change the security settings.

There are 101 uses for a dead cat.

My favorite;
“Wait until their furry lil body is in the early stage of rigor motis. Then, straighten them from head to tail, making sure the tail is exactly in line with the spine.

Then take the two front paws and curl them under.

After full rigor sets in, Voila’!!!

You have a cute toilet bowl brush....

(it’s a joke people!!!)

If your cat is 5 miles away mapping wifi hotspots, what practical good is that going to do anyway?

I personally have a virtual wlan on my wireless network specifically for honeypot hunters. When you connect to my network, you’re presented with a prompt to connect. If you connect, you get a nice little script that reboots your machine. Relatively harmless, but they don’t do it again. Oh, and I get all of your machine’s information while I’m at it.

MAC spoofing, FTW. Some people are just stupid and think technology is safe out of the box. You can’t fix them. Anyone using WEP is deliberately ignorant.

Change it to WPA at least. WPA2 is preferred.
