My only source so far is as a ‘radio listener’. But from the information gathered, it looks as though the initial operation in Africa [so far] is the most poorly planned of the Century.

I had wanted to be supportive of such a vital and dangerous mission, but the way they were just thrown out there, it’s scandalous. [Details coming up.]

Troops in Africa — Worst military plan of the century.

[My own estimation as radio listener and military history enthusiast.]

Congressman Gomert on Glenn Beck Thursday said that our troops out in Africa are UNARMED. A member of Hannity’s team later provided more disturbing first-hand information. They are quartered in apartments, and eating at DINERS.

What I gather from this information:

This indicates that the planning of this operation was poorly planned.

— A single poacher in Africa could have a field day with our men, shooting them one-by-one at leisure until grappled down.

— Their living quarters are completely unacceptable. Without a proper camp, they are vulnerable to malaria as well as other local diseases.

— As the Hannity team member pointed out, the food grown in these areas is fertilized with human dung. This is not only an ebola hazard, but also a danger of countless diseases.

— Casual contact with potential ebola patients is ridiculously high in this situation.

Congressman Gomert added somberly that the only thing these forces are armed with is surgical gloves and surgical masks.

This is the most poorly planned military operation of the century, perhaps the worst in US history. They are scrambling to rush supplies after-the-fact. If it was actually the result of a Pentagon contingency plan, high ranking officers should be demoted to ‘private’ as a result. It is now too late to ‘fix’ it. The damage is done, and the best thing we can do now is send them weapons [with ammo — must be specific these days], RATIONS, serious protective gear, basic equipment, and most importantly — prayers are needed for these heroes. I doubt being a pioneering astronaut is any more terrifying than what these troops are experiencing.

[I admit that my reporting as a talk-radio listener is imperfect, but I tried to be careful about the facts.]
