A man claimed he purchased every pie at a Burger King, 23 in total, to spite an absentee mother and child who kept screaming he wanted one of the pies.
The man posted his confession on Reddit and the story has gone viral online.

If he wanted to have a quiet meal, he should have gone to an actual restaurant, not a fast-food joint. Apparently he could afford to.
Funny thing is, I completely embrace it . . . I’m sitting about 30 minutes away from the nearest Brewer’s Retail in Ontario, and I’ve already had a couple. :)
"...no I don't got no f...ing marshmallows..."
I don’t think the Pie man would have enough money for 23 pies...
Maybe it was “The Old Man” on Pawn Stars. He loves pie.
All your pie are belong to me.
otherwise, he did a perfectly executed comeupperance to the cell talking mama...
Years ago when my daughter was 8 or 9 I was buying lunchables, which are turkey/ham and cheese slices with crackers, for my daughter for her school lunch (I’d probably be reported to social services for this if this was current day). A woman came up to me and said those aren’t very nutritious. I smiled at her, turned away, and when she wasn’t looking I put a half dozen in her shopping cart. I hope they made it to the checkout.
Humble Pie.
Great band.
You are saying the Burger King deliberately plants a crying kid in their stores to increase pie sales?
The man certainly isn’t a capitalist. If he was, he would have patronized an establishment he liked. He’s an anti-capitalist. He rewarded a business that had conditions he didn’t like. Business should respond to that by having more crying cildren.
I would have been most tempted to reply "My **** is pretty nutritious. Would you like some?"
And, as George Carlin would have said, that shuts 'em up for about a half an hour.
Offer. Acceptance. Consideration. Contract.
Love it!
Maybe he just expected an adult to be responsible and control the behavior of their child in public, eh?
I know, it’s expecting a lot in this day and age, but still.
Sounds like she could use “30 days in the hole.”
He’s a jerk.
(All Reddit users are jerks)
He bought pies he didn’t need or want because of poor conditions in a restaurant. Instead of prompting the business to change the conditions, he rewarded them, which will give them financial incentive to prolong those conditions. Meanwhile. he miscalculated his precious resources in a misguided attempt at spite. The road to serfdom lies ahead.
