1. First, actually ask the question sincerely, "Uncle Sam, HOW can I save America today? Accept that it IS up to ME and I have accountability for my choices for her THIS DAY.
2. Read the Constitution, Founding Documents, and a good history of America. [We have one of the best histories written by Freepers Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen, entitled "A Patriot's History of the United States." Rush Limbaugh is also putting out a series of histories written for children, but are also entertaining for adults which are excellent.]
3. Read current events and know what is happening. Do not allow yourself to be a "low-information voter."
4. VOTE. ALWAYS. EVERY TIME YOU HAVE THE LEGITIMATE OPPORTUNITY.
5. Educate the children and people in your life. Share with them your love the Constitution, and the Founding Documents. Inform them of current events. Be the go-to person for your friends and family on such things. Do not discount the effect and weight that can have.
6. Live the words of President John F. Kennedy:"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
7. Be self-sufficient and prepared. Plant a garden and sign up for greeneyes's garden threads. Get out of debt. Be thrifty. If you do not have ideas on how to do this specifically, consider signing up for Kartographer's prep threads.
8. Get involved in and with your neighborhood and community. Know your neighbors. Be a poll watcher. Volunteer for Red Cross. Volunteer at the local museum or library. Volunteer at your local school. Honor and care for our military and veterans. Participate in the Freeper Canteen threads [contact Kathyinalaska to sign up.] Start a newsletter. Write your representatives, despite the deaf ear they are showing us right now. Work for and support viable candidates. Email the pookie18 cartoons and FreeRepublic articles and commentary to your friends and family. This list is endless, and your ideas make up the contents of the list after number 10!
9. Turn the TV off more often if not completely. Remember that while time is infinite, we, in our flesh bodies, are not! Nor are opportunities to act in freedom necessarily infinite.
10. This nation WAS founded and dedicated to God, who has blessed her. One of the most important steps to saving America is to pray for her specifically each day. Thank God for her; Our Father appreciates and enjoys our gratitude and our attention on Him. He truly DOES reward and bless abundantly those who serve Him and His children with grateful loving hearts.
We must remember: "Our God is GREATER!" than whatever challenge is in front of us. We must act as though it all depends on us - because it does. We must pray as though it all depends on God, and this is the key: IT DOES!
Also, please feel free to add to the list!
Pinging LS, greeneyes, Kartographer, Kathyinalaska, and pookie18, who are mentioned.
Also shamelessly pinging other individuals whom I think might be interested.
I agree in part about the TV but remain engaged in the culture war. In fact, tonight on AMC is some good patriotic TV worth watching. “Turn” is a very well done history based drama about George Washington’s Culper spy ring. Its been picked up for a second season and they are running reruns of season 1 starting tonight. Its very worthwhile TV and this is a chance to encourage more of it.

One of my personal crusades is making sure to vote in all state and local education races. For instance, I’ll be voting for tea partier Dr Rob Steel for UofM board of regents.
I was really proud that it was MY Rep from Pennsylvania that Demorat Nancy Pelosi chased across the House floor yesterday. Way to go Tom Marino.Only in America!
All we have to do is type 'bring jobs back now,' and everything will revert to a golden time when Leave It To Beaver was broadcasting.
Also,
Oh, I agree; I have not yet pulled the plug entirely, but am seeking to exercise a more judicious instead of mindless use of the “Box!”
I like your suggestions!
:-D Thanks, pookie! Darlin loves to email the TOONS around to our email contacts... and our list gets bigger all the time! Thank you for your hard work.
One picture is worth a thousand words, and the labor you perform in your part of the sandbox, I truly believe, DOES reach some lo info voters!
CONGRATS!!! LOL!
In OK we are well represented....but there are also a lot of individual vote on the floor disappointments from time to time. But by and large we have as good as can be expected these days.
You have said a mouthful, my FRiend! That could be a wonderful tagline!
Oh thank you for those images!
11. ABOVE ALL: DONATE TO FREE REPUBLIC!!
[I apologize, JimRob, for neglecting to place it directly on the list. I thought of it right as I hit the post button!]
Thanks, Kart, for the wonderful image!
The hardest is voting when you don’t have much choice between dumb and dumber.
She's 16 now and still wants her own AR15.
They grow up so fast. :)
“The hardest is voting when you dont have much choice between dumb and dumber.”
LOL! I know how true that is, but I also know how many here would like to have do-overs about their choice not to vote at all during the Romney race. All we can do is the best we can do at any given time, imho.
Oh how terrific! LOL! an AR15, huh? What a noble aspiration!
Only the confiscated output of robots could possibly pay for America's growing mountain of liabilities and entitlements. We need to either educate either a generation of automation engineers or a generation of bankruptcy lawyers.
