Beck has made no bones about the fact that he's paid for a lot of what goes on his network out of his own pocket, the subscriptions and advertising help pay for the high production costs. Sure it looked cheesy in the beginning but you can tell there has been some success in his network just judging from the new studios being built. Beck has made some stupid statements as of late, but I'm willing to stick it out longer because I see value elsewhere in his network. I like the news and investigative journalism shows that are on in the evening. And while the radio side is free of charge, there's a lot of interesting content besides Glenn Beck's show on there as well.

He’s on cable in a lot of markets. He’d have his own cable network by now if the cartel would sell to him. He’s a very astute businessman, but he was surprised by the fact that no cable network will sell to him.
