My husband and I lived in the middle east, Saudi Arabia, for five years. RAPE is unacceptable there, regardless of age, gender, whatever.

Men and women were always separate because they lived in tents on the desert. There were no "rooms," no screens on the windows, no AC, only TWO sections of the tent, one for the women and one for the men. I learned that from our Saudi boss when we were working for ARAMCO back in the 80's.

I didn't have the courage to ask about the "wedding night" of a couple but I'm sure that "arrangements" were made. Now, I don't care. :o)

===========================================

Where you DO see men/boys in a sexual relationship is in the Himalayan highlands, Pakistan, north India, Afghanistan, etc., and other rigidly male/female segregated places where men cannot go NEAR women unless they are married to them.
Young AND grown men used boys for sex because women were never, ever available to them. Horny men used what was available. Young slave boys, I guess, were cheap and easy.

Their style of living was already IN PLACE before Islam came into their lives. It was the way they had ALWAYS lived. I suppose that it's still that way. ISLAM didn't change that. No faith would change that as it seems to be ingrained in their culture from the very beginning of their culture.

I’m going on what I read - where young girls are raped and then forced to marry their rapist, or, they are stoned for having sex outside of marriage ...all in Islamic countries.
