It’s a collective failure. The writing was there, but the ability to believe it was not.
I still remember Tony Snow, of all people, when he had a talk radio show. He sent his kids to public school and could not believe the NIGHTMARE that he had to deal with. He said, to the effect: “Sure, I listened to Rush warning me and others, but I thought it was all for ratings”.
...and he was GOOD conservative.
Don’t get me wrong. I know schools have been getting bad for years.

Then..
“Heather Has Two Mommies” and “My Daddy’s Roommate” all for Johnny who can’t read anyway.
but this? Every day I find a new story, often several. This is insane.
