No, it’s not. I went to their “teach-ins” in college, in the 1980s. This is EXACTLY what they were calling for (actually, this is much less - those teach-ins were really scary).
We tend to think that just because a person is an American that they like this country - that is TOTALLY UNTRUE. I met DOZENS of them at ESU...they HATED everything about this country, except for the fact that their parents had enough money to finance their education.
They haven’t changed a bit. Maybe people (i.e., their parents) thought it was “a phase”, but they were in their 20s...they were NOT going to change, at all.
