Chhattisgarh state department of archaeology and culture plans to seek help from Nasa and Isro for research on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region.
According to archaeologist JR Bhagat, these paintings have depicted aliens like those shown in Hollywood and Bollywood flicks. Located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola.
"The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn't have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject," Bhagat told TOI.

There are several beliefs among locals in these villages. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about "rohela people" the small sized ones who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned.
"The paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits. We can't refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men but humans usually fancy such things," the archaeologist said.

He added that it is a co-incidence that such ancient images appear to have sharp resemblance to UFOs shown in alien movies. "The fan-like antenna and three legs of vehicle's stand clearly show a similarity to UFO type craft," he said.
Other archaeologists would also be consulted for further verification.

Uh...Just a wild guess, but maybe they saw something and then painted it, which today appears to be possibly resemble some type of spacecraft.
It certainly does not appear to be a buffalo or lizard.
Does a round thing with 3 legs necessarily have to be a UFO? What about a table instead? Which is easier to believe? But of course, if a person wants to believe a certain conclusion, the evidence will change to fit that conclusion.
I see monkeys dressed up in costumes...and I hear the bones of these dead people that did it...laughing hysterically at the superior men of the 21st century...
I like that show - great screen name, by the way.
It was probably a script for a UFO movie they were making. ;-)
The third image looks like a shaman’s getup.
The Lost 4400? “Taken” victims. “Leftovers” victims.
Tim Leary’s original followers?
DEMOCRATS?
Does a round thing with 3 legs necessarily have to be a UFO?
That's probably it, they decided to paint their 3 legged cave table on the wall as decoration.
Only after 2 joints!
Maybe the thing they are calling a craft is just upside down,,,,a kilroy with dreadlocks.
I visited the place in the mid-sixties. We were walking thru the field of rocks...and, due to the glare from a low Western sun, couldn't distinguish the petroglyphs at all.
I sat down in the shadow of one rock and focused on the sunlit rock face opposite me. And, suddenly, the glyphs became clearly evident -- it was a matter of mentally separating the white lines from the cracks and stratification of the rocks.
And, on the rock face opposite, I was treated to the clear image of a Viking ship! In profile, with the high horsehead prow and the elevated stern, above a large rudder. A large square sail set amidship. A row of eight round "shields" mounted on the side, at the gunwales. Eight oars projecting from the side of the ship.
I called my wife's attention to the image...and she was equally shocked by what she was seeing. An accurate image of a Viking longboat...in the middle of the New Mexico desert, above the White Sands.
I ran off to alert the park ranger -- as there had been no mention of this particular image at the site's entrance or in the literature.
She, however, seemed unaware of the significance...and showed no interest in the image's location.
I've always wondered if anybody else has ever seen that image revealed by a low western light...
I see someone wearing an owl mask and a cape.
Yup...try drawing this person:
Pagan tribes had all sorts of weird piercings and tatoos all through history (btw these are symptoms of a devolving culture). They would look weird enough in a drawing but no spacemen.
the article infers that they SAW it...and drew a picture of it.
lol...
What about a flying 3 legged table?
Giant bed bug? Creepy cave spider?
