LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Dodgers fans will have to come back to the stadium to get their Hello Kitty travel mug after the delivery truck did not make it on time for Thursday nights giveaway.
The Dodgers will instead give out vouchers good for one Hello Kitty travel mug that could be redeemed at the stadium beginning Monday through Aug. 24 between 10 a.m and 5 p.m.
Earlier today, the truck carrying a portion of the Hello Kitty giveaway items was disabled and therefore the mugs did not make it to Dodger Stadium for distribution at tonights game as scheduled, said the statement released by the Dodgers. Those that did not receive the mug and were among the first 40,000 in attendance tonight will be given a voucher.
On Twitter, fans expressed their frustration on how they wont be getting their Hello Kitty mugs.
On April 17, 2013 the Dodgers had a complete sellout for the Hello Kitty blanket giveaway.
To make matters worse for fans at the game, pitcher Clayton Kershaws streak of consecutive shutout innings was snapped at 41 after a solo shot by Chase Headley in the sixth inning.
They’re danged lucky it wasn’t My Little Pony night.
Was there a riot? Did they have sufficient guard presence?
You’d think after the Tigers beat them 14-5 the other day they’d rather say “Goodbye Kitty”
Oh no, the humanity!
I want a pony.
At least they don’t have to pay to watch the Rangers try to play baseball.
There’s no Hello Kitty in baseball!
“Theyre danged lucky it wasnt My Little Pony night.”
Yeah, some of them Bronies are downright scary.
That was my first thought!
LOL...
A stadium filled with bronies...
Almost unthinkable..
I’m actually stunned that ball parks still have ‘bat days’. Disaster is inevitable.
Lois Lerner is thinking: "That's a damned good excuse..."
The stupid! It hurts!
That statement you made reminded me of the truism: "if the human mind can imagine it, the reality is possible."
They’re cute!
I know it’s a personal weakness, but I love Hello Kitty.
The student hero at Seattle Pacific University took down the gunman after pepper-spraying and tackling him. The hero’s facebook page had all sorts of likes of tactical gear, guns, etc. But at the very top of the list was a rainbow image of “My Little Pony”. (The hero is Asian though, so I’m guessing that explains a lot!)
Thank goodness they weren’t Little Trayvon Cups.
