We lost a lot of pears with the big wind storm several weeks ago, but the tree is still loaded. The pears are close to getting soft. Sure hope the critters leave them alone this year.

You may need a little less hope and a lot more action.LOL The real question is are there enough for the critters and you too? Can you beat them to it?

We got dwarf trees so that we could put protective netting on them, but our trees are very young and not really producing yet.

Sorry about the pears. I like pears especially canned ones.

It’s amazing, we had a pear tree in our back yard when I was younger, and no one ever did anything with them, and the yellow jackets used to just love them.

So I always stayed away from them, because I was scared of the yellow jackets. I don’t know why my parents didn’t pick any, I guess they just didn’t like them.
