The San Francisco Giants are considering a new dress code for fans, which may include a ban on fake Native American headdresses and other “culturally insensitive” clothing.
The proposal for a new dress code comes after two Native Americans were detained during a Giants game last month after asking a fan to remove a headdress they found disrespectful.
If approved, the new policy could be a first for a major-league sports franchise,

Most of us don’t make a fuss over what other people are wearing or what name or logo a sports team has. If someone in front of me sat down with a headdress I’d be much more worried about whether I could see the game than I would be over whether the member of the Village People in front of me was somehow “degrading my culture” or some similar sort of nonsense.
The couple of Indians I happen to know who get upset over this sort of thing are women with too many college degrees in fields that don’t matter and who are generally insufferable to be around even if you’re another Indian.
And don’t offer to push in someone’s stool at the bar, if you’re wearing a “No Fat Chicks!” tee-shirt.
I am of German ancestry. The next time I see an Indian wearing a Pickelhaube I’m raising hell.
