So after being convicted of this heinous crime we kept this piece of crap alive for 15 years and made the family wait that long to see justice served? That is disgusting!

Giuseppe Zangara (September 7, 1900 March 20, 1933) was the assassin of Chicago mayor Anton Cermak, though United States Presidentelect Franklin D. Roosevelt may have been his intended target.[1] Roosevelt escaped injury, but five people were shot including Cermak.

Crime on February 15th, execution on March 20th. No-one denied him his right to a speedy trial.

Better than CA. Here a “death sentence” means you will die of old age on “death row”.

IMO the founders messed up a little with the cruel and unusual punishment clause. I for one would be in favor of amending that.
For the worst crimes of all a painful and ugly death is the only fair and just one.

ALSO the mandatory appeal, and cruel and unusual appeal stuff is crap. You should only get procudural appeals for errors made in the trial.

In Illinois we had a corrupt liberal who called himself a republican, George Ryan (who just got released from prison incidentally) and while in office, this turd commuted 160 death sentences to life and put a moratorium on the death penalty.
