George S. Patton. Old Blood and Guts. A Four Star General in the U.S. Army during World War II who was so tough he could eat shoe leather and sh*t nails.
In his 36 years of distinguished service, he earned the Purple Heart, 2 Distinguished Service Crosses, 3 Distinguished Service Medals, 2 Silver Stars, and other military decorations. Pattons also well-remembered as a colorful character.
If you know someone who needs a bit of perspective on life (or a swift kick in the ass), these 12 motivational posters just might do the trick.

Too bad he died as a result of a stupid low-speed vehicle accident.
Thanks for posting, they are all great
yw. i thought so too
I’d settle for a Lyn Nofziger and a Ronald Reagan.....though looking at the border maybe we need old hits and glory
It was probably better he did than to live in postwar America.
He would have had difficulty adapting to it. He was perfectly suited to what he did in wartime, but it would have been a difficult peace for him.
That might not have been an “accident.” Had he lived, he may have ended up as President, and there were a lot of folks that didn’t want that to happen. We got the least of the bunch when Ike came in. Patton or MacArthur would’ve been far superior.
I believe that we don't have leaders, we have rulers.
But even that is only a symptom of the problem. The real problem is that the majority of the people in this country prefer being ruled rather than suffer the burdens of independence and self reliance.
George C. Scott was brilliant in that great movie “Patton”.
Nice
Too bad he died as a result of a stupid low-speed vehicle accident.
Yes, it is too bad.
An example of General Patton’s self discipline is that he quit playing polo and jumping horses about a year before Pearl harbor. He knew we were going to war and didn’t want to risk getting hurt and missing out.
Yup.
Another of Lemays witticisms: “If you’re not catching flak, then you’re not over the target.”

That ‘manly’ side kick by BO watching the ‘karate’ match would be a fine addition to the Posters we have.
Just to show you the difference between MEN and ?????? whatever one wants to refer to BO as.
BO isn’t fit to carry most mens jock strap much less ‘order’ them around.
Thanks for the post !!
I always wondered who the driver was. What his thoughts on what happened.
We should have cloned Lee Atwater and Ed Rollins.
Here is an article about the driver for Patton.
The New York Times reported on Dec. 13 that an investigation had determined that Private Woodring and the truck driver, Pvt. Robert L. Thompson, had been guilty of carelessness. Neither was disciplined.
