Well, him being an idiot didn’t help.

We could sure have done better.

I believe there are 15 states that provide this...."with stipulations", i.e., you must have graduated from a Texas High School, have been a resident of the State for 3 years....etc etc. So it's not like you go from Mississippi to Texas and the next week get Texas in state tuition.

And remember, the Feds say mandatory education for ALL children through 12th grade in every state.

I really don't see the objection.

Just a little Rick Perry reminder for any who forgot.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately many have forgotten. Then there are those who never objected. They are perfectly satisfied with Texas' pro-ILLEGAL alien governor pandering to the ILLEGAL hordes and want him to do the same on a national level.

So, Rick Perry is currently scoring points against the liberals and amnesty, therefore, NBC tries to remind everyone how much the right hated him.

Typical liberal journalism running interference for their masters.

It is sad to see FReepers falling for this.

And before someone runs their mouth, no, I would not want Perry for our nominee.

Illegal immigrants entering Texas’ higher education system are direct beneficiaries of a 1982 Supreme Court decision, Plyler vs. Doe. Parents in Tyler sued after the state began charging tuition for illegal immigrant children. The court ruled that Texas and the rest of the country must educate illegal immigrant children free of charge in public schools.

Just a little Rick Perry reminder for any who forgot.

Thanks for the needed reminder for the Perry-Bots.

I have been seeing a lot of Perry-Bots profess that Perry will take the lead and "sovle" this border problem.

I have to laugh at these naive foolish Perry-Bots.

We are truly about to lose our Republic and all Perry has done and will do forever is talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk.

To all you foolish Perry-Bots please mark this post. Then come back every month and note what "action" Perry has taken.

If Perry was a true leader then he would call on Texans to prepare to assemble in citizens militias to completely seal the border.

If Perry was a true leader he would order Sheriffs across the State to arrest any Federal official (including black-robbed tyrants) resisting the operation.

To save our Republic our border needs to be completely sealed and all illegals rounded up and deported.

Perry has the chance to be a historic figure. Sadly, I have no doubt he will just be another blathering fool who stands by while our Republic is turned into a third world sewer.

Perry has a long history of being weak on border/illegals issues. He was always beholden to his big-money, pro-illegals, open-border donors (like the other “Perry,” the zillionaire homebuilder, and the HEB grocery guy). Talks tough, convinces a lot of people, but then does nothing.

Oddly enough, I thought the potential was there for Perry to go against his usual pattern, and take full advantage of the “political opening” created by this invasion, and genuinely take charge, sending the Texas Guard, the militias, and everything but the kitchen sink. It would have shown him as a big can-do “leader” in opposition to Obama, and put him immediately in the forefront of candidates for the 2016 presidential primaries. But he’s staying true to form... talking a lot, blaming the Feds, and not really doing much.
