Today's feature is the last of independent producer Samuel Bronston's("King of Kings", "El Cid", "55 Days At Peking") huge epic productions of the early 1960s. John Wayne plays a tough owner of a big wild west show/circus travelling through Europe. Claudia Cardinale plays his adopted daughter and Rita Hayworth plays a woman from the Duke's past. Directed by Henry Hathaway("The Sons of Katie Elder").

Have to admit I never saw that one.

It was a kids TV show in the 1950s, and it was rerun a lot in the '50s and early '60s.
Mickey Dolenz (then known as Mickey Braddock) was a little boy who worked for the circus.
It wasn't bad, and the acting experience probably helped him get the Monkee job.
In the Monkees , Davey Jones and Mickey Dolenz, being from an acting rather than a music background, didn't mind that studio musicians played the instruments on the records, because to them it was just a show. Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork though, being professional musicians, raised a stink.

Circus Boy...that was early tv,real early.
Never knew of this Circus World movie before.

I don’t remember Circus World either. But Circus Boy was on a lot in the late ‘50s-early ‘60s.
