Tyrants, yeah that's it. So, we should support anything that comes down the road, never mind the fact that we are running a business and just because someone has a new toy, doesn't mean we're going to support it. We support over 400 Windows servers, now I'm supposed to support a MAC, does a MAC have WSUS or System Center to apply the patch Tuesday patches or push out software?
I'm dying to see how our proprietary software would run on a MAC in native mode, not running Windows 7 in a VM. Yet in a MAC world, that is perfectly OK, yes, spend more money for a MAC so I can run 7 in a VM, makes perfect business sense.
The bottom line, MACS are more expensive and they don't do anything special that would require creating an infrastructure to support them.
Boy, MAC fanboys are clueless and I like MACs.
Back in the ‘80s I watched MS and IBM working to get PCs to talk to the mainframes and while Apple considered the whole idea beneath them. They’re on the outside looking in by choice.
If you liked Macs you would know something about them. . . and not be misspelling their name. And you would know that 97% of the Fortune 500 have already incorporated Macs into their businesses. Being UNIX machines, they network easily. Your refusal to consider what Macs can offer shows your mind is closed.
No, you should make everyone bend to your will, because, that is what tyrants do. Or you could upgrade your skills and learn how to support both platforms, although I must admit it is much easier for you to just make the other guy use the cr@p that you know how to use.
Boy, MAC fanboys are clueless and I like MACs.
There you have it, everyone except you is stupid.
I'm surprised that someone who likes Macs doesn't know how to write the word down. ;-)
We'll see how you like your monoculture Windows shop when a shiny new zero-day worm hits and destroys your data enterprise-wide. lol
Why people invest so much in the most insecure OS historically is a mystery. I hope you wrote your "proprietary" software portably so you can easily move it to a better OS when the cluebat hits.
