The problem with Duke is he's a generation of old fashioned Hollywood writing that is campy IMO, whereas Clint is a true 'go 'head, make my day' tough guy, always trying to do right.

They're both equal unto themselves as Americans and patriots, so it comes down to a matter of taste and 'watchability.

I can sit through any Eastwood flick, but I have yet to sit through an entire "She wore a yellow ribbon"

Clint Eastwood

Then I suggest you watch Red River....Wayne as the anti-hero.

I agree. Clint was a good actor, John W just played himself in every movie and it was boring.

Agreed. There are only a few Wayne flicks I like...”True Grit” and a few others. Too many “insert comedy scene here” moments in his movies. Obviously, not all Eastwood flicks were good, he made stinkers like “The Gauntlet” and some others. But nothing Wayne did approaches “Unforgiven” or “Dirty Harry.”

You would not have survived my father’s upbringing....EVERY time She Wore a Yellow ribbon was on he hauled us out of bed to watch it.

I love the McClintock movies and The Quiet Man. Clint will always be Rowdy of Rawhide in my eyes
