Just turned it on. D'Souza can pursue a line of thought, unlike Meghan.
I really enjoyed watching the Kelly/Ayers interview. It was amusing to see him deny stuff that was in his book. It reminded me of Charles Barkely claiming he was misquoted in his own autobiography.
Megan Kelley is finally aware of Bill Ayers. Even McCain knew he was an old washed up terrorist. God, why did I vote for that man?
As for Fox, I’m giving up cable in about 3 weeks. I will break myself free from the “book of the month club” addiction! Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty I’m free at last!
Is there any life in murder charges against this guy after 2016?
In an interesting historical twist of events, it was eventually revealed over 3 decades after the Watergate Scandal that the Associate Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mark Felt, was responsible for leaking insider information to Washington Post reporters Woodward and Bernstein which helped keep the investigation before the public. Felts identity had been kept secret by the 2 reporters and given the nickname Deep Throat.
In 1980, Felt was convicted of the felony of violating the civil rights of people thought to be associated with members of the Weather Underground Organization, by ordering FBI agents to search their homes as part of an attempt to prevent bombings. He was ordered to pay a U.S.$7,000 fine, but during his appeal, he was pardoned by POTUS #40 RWR on 4/15/1981. Felt finally revealed himself to be the Watergate scandal's whistleblower, "Deep Throat," on 5/31/2005. He died in 2008 at age 95.
Felt had known FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover well. He denounced the rumors that Hoover and his aid, Clyde Tolson, were homosexual lovers. Another long serving and high ranking FBI agent who defended Hoover was Edward S. Miller who died in 2013 at age 89. He vouched for Hoovers sterling character. Miller attributed the homosexual rumors to communist agents and useful idiots in the media and Hollywood because of the FBIs strong anti-communist efforts beginning during POTUS #32 FDRs watch. Hoovers effectiveness against the CPUSA made him a target of smear campaigns.
Worse, was considered the leading "expert" on secondary school curricula among the education establishment for several decades.
That Johnny has no idea who George Washington was is largely attributable to the work of Dr. William Ayers.
Allegedly Felt was angry at not being appointed Director when Hoover died so he went after Nixon through the Watergate cover up info.
Greta Van Sustern is the only one who has resisted the wardrobe glamorization. I like her in her blazers. She seems serious.
Good point.
I also noticed his smirk when he talked about stealing while he was on the run. I guess he thought it was funny. Can you imagine him laughing if someone emptied his bank accounts? Real funny guy.
Greta has become one of my favs. And you’re right! She looks like a serious journalist and I never think about her appearance.
She’s the only one on Fox that I watch regularly anymore. I can’t even stand Fox & Friends in the morning these days. It offends me to the core to see them constantly use Elizabeth the way that they do — running her around the plaza in some dopey game.
Elizabeth has an annoying, insipid voice, but I don’t think that she is as stupid as they try to make her appear. Sometimes she actually makes insightful comments.
I should add that all of the other stations are even worse. Now that I have a DVR, I just switch to some “saved” British mystery drama to watch instead. My faves these days are “Poirot” and “Rosemary & Thyme”. As my manicurist joked, “Why would you asked those two to do over your garden? Somebody always dies.”
I don’t watch Fox & Friends. If 9/11 happened with this group, they’d still be holding a barbeque out on 6th Avenue. Insipid is the word!
One of the stars of that show is a friend of my husband. Lovely actress, lovely lady.
Which one — Rosemary, or Thyme?
Yesterday’s offering was a particularly poingent story about Thyme.
To be honest, I don’t know the show! Felicity.
