I know LOTS of conservatives who follow soccer and have their kids in soccer leagues.
People like different sports for various reasons. Do people love golf because they hate America ... because you know golf is from Scotland?
This argument is as daft as they come.

Your “argument” is as daft as they come.

Your inability to comprehend is also pretty daft; my cohesive arguments never addressed for even a milisecond the national origins of any sport.

I have never heard a golf fan praise golf simply because it originated in Scotland rather than America, or because it was more popular somewhere else than in America, but I have heard a lot of soccer fans make those judgments, and as I watch my local MLS soccer team, it is obvious that many of the fans have patterned themselves after European fans, e.g., we have British announcers, use British terminology, give the teams European-sounding names, and use European-style chants and songs.
