Time travel is a reality already. You reached this point in time by traveling from previous time. The trick would be to break free of the background time of this Universe. HOWEVER, I theorize that there are variable expressions of dimension Time, and that we have examples of things which remain in a past time until they interact with something moving through the background time ... like photons, which remain in the present of the source from which they are emitted, despite the source continuing to ‘move’ temporally in the background volume of dimension Time. We sense these photons and our brain does a neat trick, assembling a virtual reality of ‘present’ for our self, using these moments from past events, past from our temporal movement int he volume.
