President Barack Obama has acted so unlawfully that he 'probably' wouldn't survive an impeachment vote in the House of Representatives, Republican Rep. Lou Barletta told a radio host on Monday.
'Hes just absolutely ignoring the Constitution, and ignoring the laws and ignoring the checks and balances,' the Pennsylvania lawmaker told News Radio 910 WSBA personality Gary Sutton yesterday.
'The problem is, what do you do?' Barletta continued. 'For those that say impeach him for breaking the laws or bypassing the laws could that pass in the House? It probably could.'
'Is the majority of the American people in favor of impeaching the president? Im not sure about that.'
'I don't think so,' the Pennsylvania radio host can be heard telling Barletta in audio of their conversation captured by Buzzfeed's Andrew Kaczyinski.
Barletta made the comments during a discussion on illegal immigration after Sutton argued that the president wasn't 'faithfully executing the laws of this country.'
'Well we have a president that has taken this to a new level,' Barletta said of Obama's actions before explaining how he thinks impeachment proceeding would hypothetically play out in the House.

The impeachment process in order to REMOVE A PRESIDENT FROM OFFICE is spelled out very clearly in the US Constitution. This Constitutional Process has NEVER EVEN ONE TIME - ever succeeded in removing one President from office in the entire history of this country!
That is a fact!
53 to 45 to keep Obama (with 2 unknown) is as simple as knowing what a “Democrat” is ... LOL ...
There’s no Constitutional Process that I can see in your statement.
It sounds more like you’re describing Botswana or Bolivia ... :-) ...
Well, the GOP has the ability to “gum up the works” in Congress, as it stands right now. They can block Obama at every turn if they really want to.
Why are you ‘shouting’? Everyone here is as angry about Obama as you are, but you seem to be the only one convinced that we should do nothing about it.
We understand that Clinton wasn’t removed. You don’t have to repeat that one more time.
One last time: a president can be impeached but not removed.
A lot of us think it might have a salutary effect on the insufferable Won in the WH.
If you don’t have the stomach for it, call your representatives and express your opposition; I’ll be doing the opposite, urging that they proceed.
Review the title of this article. You posted it, right?
And what would you otherwise expect from a President who promised to "fundamentally transform" the United States?
Barack Obama's biggest claim to fame is not as "The First (half) Black President". Instead, he is the first "Anti-American President".
The House will not move on a process that will fail by a vote of 53 to 45 (with 2 unknown). That’s what is going to stop the House.
Ya .... impeachment is one thing .... but removal from office is a totally different animal altogether .... just ask Bill Clinton who was also impeached.
Lick the hand that beats you, cringing as you do it Republican’t.
Lick the hand that beats you, cringing as you do it Republican’t.
The end of his term in office can’t come fast enough. Obama has set back the black race by over a century by his actions. He’s a disgrace to blacks everywhere and I’m sure they wish that they hadn’t set such a bad example, which will forever be a “black mark” in the history book for blacks.
“Reality” is a strange thing ... isn’t it ... :-) ...
One more thing here ... when I change the oil in my car, I don’t drain the oil and then say “I’ve done what I started out to do!”
NO ... not at all ... I complete the process and I fill it back up with new oil. THEN ... I can say I’ve successfully completed the process.
The US Constitution spells out the process very clearly, as clearly as for a person changing the oil in his car. Until the process of the US Constitution is followed COMPLETELY ... and successfully ... no one can make any statement of “success”.
And in the entire history of our country - no one has ever been able to declare “success” on this Constitutional process of removing a President from office.
As if Biden could screw up to a greater degree than Ofarkwad? How could Biden POSSIBLY be worse? He isn't bright enough to steal and would brag about how many bribes he's taken...
Biden wouldn't last two months before he sticks his own schwanzstucker into his mouth and bites down hard.
How many blacks, do you suppose, recognize that?
His job approval rating among blacks is down around 80%, below the 95% who voted for him, but the vast majority of blacks still see no flaws in him -- even though they have suffered disproportionately from his policies!
No it didn’t. The members of the House SUCCEEDED in passing and presenting to the Senate a Bill of Impeachment. Clinton was only the second President to be impeached and he will be forever known by this. In each case, the Senate FAILED to convict. It is vital that each and every one of us get out and bullet vote for the Republican for every office on the ballot.
Why post the article if you’re only going to tear it down?
Is your purpose to dispirit others?
LOL! Hammer hits nail!
