soooo....
have the three big dogs been rounded up by Animal Control and impounded, only to be redeemed by a large fine (x 3) paid by the owner of said dangerous animals?
And WHY not?

I didn’t know either and, like you, I feel bad. I’ve never been much of a freepmail writer so don’t keep in touch with people like I should.

Maybe we’re neighbors! We’ve been getting rain ALL day...almost 2.75” in our rain gauge!! Enough, already ;)
I have a little (male) dog that thinks he’s a BIG dog, too. We also have a BIG dog that thinks she’s tiny :-D

I hear ya! There are so many dead or dying trees here....and our last water bill was over $250. But I couldn't live here if our yard and trees died! |

That’s another story ML! A couple of months ago they were up here and I came inside with Piper. When I’d go to the back door or the side door and open it they would come running and barking.
So, Animal Control and the Police were called and told what was happening. The dogs owner is a Lawyer and the Police went to his house but he wasn’t home. So the Police came back, said they locked up the dogs in the yard but they issued no warning ticket to him because the dogs were running around them wagging their tails as good as they could be.............!!
I was really ticked, but they failed to see that they were a menace to my dog, or anybody. Looks like it will take a few calls to get their attention. - plus he’s a Lawyer...!

I’m in Victoria Jane. My three brothers are in the Houston-Nassa area and there’s always lots of rain there. I grew up in Texas City and my Mother always complained that the rain came in from the bay, went out and came back in again! Lol.

Love To Tell His Story
Sept 18, 2014
Read: 1 Chronicles 16:7-13
When noted author Studs Terkel was looking for a topic for his next book, one of his friends suggested death. While he was resistant at first, the idea gradually began to take shape, but its voice became all too real when Mr. Terkels wife of 60 years passed away. Now the book was also a personal search: a yearning to know what lies beyond, where his loved one had just gone. Its pages are a poignant reminder of our own search for Jesus and the questions and concerns we have about eternity while we walk our faith journey.
Im thankful for the assurance we can have that we will be with Jesus after we die if we have trusted in Him to forgive our sin. There is no greater hope. It is now our privilege to share that hope with as many as we can. First Peter 3:15 encourages us: . . . always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. We have the opportunity from God, as David said, to call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples (1 Chron. 16:8).
The stories of so many people we love are not yet ended, and the privilege to tell them about the love of Jesus is a gift most precious.
I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee. Hankey
Let our days be filled with a longing and the opportunitiesto tell our story of Jesus.
The psalm David sings in 1 Chronicles 16:7-33 seems to be drawn from parts of several different psalms found in the Hebrew psalter. According to The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, the lyrics of verses 8-22 closely parallel Psalm 105:1-15. In verses 23-33, the song seems to continue with words from Psalm 96, while the remainder of the song (vv.34-36) relates to the ideas expressed in Psalm 106. In this way, Davids song resembles a modern hymn medley, where parts of several songs are combined together to express the singers heart of worship.

Happy Thankful Thursday, FRiends.
Today, I'm thankful that our high temps today will be in the hi 80's or low 90's.
Our air is still awful; polluted with too much smoke, dirt and other allergens.
Praying that the firefighters stay safe as they continue to fight the dozen fires in our nearby foothills.
Praying for the people who have lost everything in these fires.
Wishing everyone a happy day!

Oh boy, Thankful Thursday...that’s a tough one today, the horse refused to go into the trailer this morning for our scheduled horsemanship lesson. So teacher had to come to us instead. Not feeling particularly thankful. I’m tired and cranky. I practiced trailer loading with him 4 times in a week, but the morning we have to go somewhere, he refuses to get in.
I’ll work on being thankful that my teacher could drive all the way over here to work with us.
My horse days are numbered. I really prefer the safety of the piano bench.
