A Tennessee man has filed a $1 million lawsuit Thursday against Red Lobster and one of its waitresses after the waitress claimed last year that he wrote a racial slur on a tip receipt.
Last September, the waitress, Toni Jenkins, posted a picture on Facebook of the receipt which had the words “none” and “Nigger” scrawled on it.
Jenkins, who is black, claimed that a white patron had written the slur.
The name and signature of that patron, Devin Barnes, were visible on the receipt.
But Barnes denied writing the epithet. He said he was out to dinner with his wife at the seafood chain’s Cool Springs, Tenn. location.

Wasn’t it announced last week the Red Lobster was selling for essentially the value of the real-estate? I suppose he’s really suing their insurance company. A lawyer once told me that insurance guaranteed you’d be sued.
The way things are today, with different law enforcement for different races, that is possible. I could see some rich black rapper like JayZ using that as a marketing slogan. JayZ would become angry and confused when other black people gave him a hard time about it. He would call them field N’grs and expect to breeze by with that offense too. This and far worse is likely already being done on private Facebook accounts.

You can’t be in business without insurance. Because for sure you are going to get sued for a bunch of stuff along the way.
This suit is unusual, but I’d bet the Red Lobster chain gets sued scores of time each year, at least.
I hope the waitress loses and is forced to pay installments for at least the next 10 years.
She wasn’t fired for the stunt either. For that alone, I hope he wins the lawsuit.
Been a number of these frauds used by the ‘victims’ to get attention and even donations.
I kinda agree. The one that needs to lose big time is the gal who did this. Red Lobster is a victum also.
I’m aware of that check, what I meant was for her to lose in such a way that her wages would be garnished.
Lying and scamming wins every time.
And the over 90 IQ group who understand that virtually all such accusations are made by the supposed "victim," or a friend or relative thereof.
This has been the case for decades, and will continue as long as functional morons are born.
With a catchy drum beat, and a half dozen half nekid dancin blonde chicks it'd get plenty of air play.
The man didn’t leave a tip and was therefore being niggardly.

I’m glad the guy is during the waitress and Red Lobster. It is about time the accusers get sued and I hope they will be more people suing if they are accused of ‘racism’.
Can I dye myself black, and claim racist and get a quick 10k? Probably not, but hey, sounds like it’s worth a try!
