Telesales reps have been asked to reveal the cruellest things people have said to them over the phone.
Cold callers of reddit disclosed the harshest and most bizarre put-downs they have suffered, presumably before being hung up on by disgruntled members of the public.
No one like being disturbed by strangers wasting their time with sales talk and most of us do not appear to be shy about telling random callers exactly what they think.

It’s easy. Disconnect your phone line...: )
The one you introduced as “This is _______, the center of attention”?
I always say “can you hold on a minute?” Then I lay the phone down and walk off. After awhile they hang up and usually they don’t call back. Although since I got on the do not call list I haven’t had any problems.
The one...
not gonna happen....... besides they call as often on my cell phone as they do on my home phone.
No, my conscience doesn’t bother me because I worked for a reputable company. You are the one who needs repentance considering your holier-than-thou attitude toward some who are trying to put food on their tables for their kids. Most of the workers were single moms. We were paid very well and only worked for Fortune 500 companies. Our calls were not “cold calls” per se, but those who the banks and insurance companies did business with - so, therefore, it wasn’t a violation of the Do Not Call Policy. I see that most on here are ignorant and think they are better than than others. There is a lot of hypocrisy in this world, and it isn’t all on the left either. And, most experienced telemarketers know exactly what some of you do on the other end of the phone - you think you are being clever, but we had some great laughs at your expense. My job wasn’t boiler room at all - everything was done according to the FTC guidelines - sure, there are some quacks out there, but they are fly by night organizations, but there are some very reputable telemarketing companies and there is a difference.
I see - it paid well, and it was legal. You must be very proud of yourself.
Those were the good old days......
Just here to get ideas.
As a matter of fact I am. My mother passed away and I had to move back to my hometown to take care of her estate and it was the only job offered me where I could work a flex schedule. It served its purpose - smart a**.
LOL!!!!
