I planted 8 of my favorite Marions, 4 Marizano Plums, 4 Arkansas Tralvers, 4 Rutgers, 8 Red Beefsteak, 6 regular plums, and 1 Black Prince. Just trying a few I have no experience in growing to see how they do in the Mississippi heat this summer.
I was trying to focus on tomatoes that work best in salsa (plums and hearts), but things got 'out of control' with seed swaps and such, so now I have roughly 400 different kinds of tomato seed on hand, but I can only grow out 100 varieties on our temporary property. The ones with odd names are catching my attention...I am growing out 'Sirloin of Zebra', Cow's T*t, Monkey *ss, and Grinch Cherry (GWR). There there's the peppers and beans, which are pushing the 'collect them all' button, as well.
