Yea, I was astonished it was here when we purchased the home, but it grew into a a monster. It's too big to reach the cherry's anymore though.
The pic was taken twp years ago, and up until this year I was getting a good crop from it. But the dry Winter wasn't kind this year and the only cherry's I see are the one the birds can only reach now.
It really dwarfs everything. It a black cherry tree that was planted by the prior owners. I don't think they realized it would eventually crowd out the fig tree and the plum tree, but it has. I keep it because it's just beautiful.
