Maybe that’s some of the basis for white privilege. Declare yourself white but because of a Spanish surname be eligible for affirmative action (discrimination against whites). Talk about having it both ways.

In the schools I saw some of the problem responsible hispanics faced. They would be put into ESL classes that were taught in English, but spent a lot of their time patronizing those who preferred to babble in hispanic.

The easiest way out was on a school transfer, and checking "Caucasian" at that point.

Not all hispanics want to be held back with special favors, and a lot don't like competing with invader labor. That's the impression I got.

Here in the Austin area, about 90% of the “will work for food” street corner urchins are white. How is that ‘white privilege’ working out for them? Listening to the nutballs pushing this crap, one would think that they would be CEOs instead of beggars.
