A Texas talk show host stormed off set Tuesday after a heated discussion was ignited when she expressed disapproval of coverage showing Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend.
Can we just agree that this was an opportunity to make news? KTXD-TVs The Broadcast host Amy Kushnir asked.
He has every right to do what he wants, thats not my issue, she added. I just dont want it in my face.

Freedom of ‘incorrect’ speech is under attack everywhere we look. One of these women actually said that homosexuals kiss in certain movies or shows, so therefore the objecting woman’s young kids need to just handle it. Disgusting.
She’s probably unemployed now
It’s repugnant.
Some people in this country may not find it to be repugnant, but I am not one of those people.
That’s never going to change either.
Quit shoving this crapola down my throat.
Courtney “Here’s the deal, Suzi” Kerr: vacuous airhead spouting IQ-lowering drivel. ouchouchouch — like walking on sand spurs.
Amy Kushnir, thank you for the dose of common sense and telling it like it is.
She’ll get the “Anita Bryant” treatment from the Sodomites.
Unless she takes a class on white privilege.
I just dont want it in my face.
Exactly, or in my children’s faces!
That was a very interesting discussion. Each viewpoint was represented. I have a feeling if this discussion had taken place over a few after-dinner drinks, there would have been some in your face yelling going on. The nice looking one on the left was the most lobotomized Lib Zombie at the table. The Moderator did a good job, different that you see with Candy Crowley types. This Moderator gave everyone a fair chance to express their views. I could tell the oldest one thought the whole matter was a bunch of B.S. and was close to saying so. It’s good that folks are having these frank discussions.
Fascist libs
Nothing liberal about fascists.
KTXD-TV started the The Broadcast in February 2013 as an opinion-based show. We selected five hosts who represent a subset of the vast, diverse community that we serve, and we encourage them on a daily basis to share their personal opinions on a variety of topics.
On Tuesday, May 13, that topic happened to be Michael Sams draft day kiss and the controversy it was generating. The debate between our four hosts that day got unusually heated and ended with one host Amy Kushnir leaving the set. Ms. Kushnirs action was a signal of frustration on her part, as she felt she was unable to express her own views correctly.
While KTXD-TV neither supports nor condemns opinions shared by our hosts, we stand behind both The Broadcast and Ms. Kushnir. We wholeheartedly stand behind their right to voice their opinions as an integral part of our program. We have clearly ruffled feathers, and in doing so we hope we have advanced the dialogue on this important issue.

Not in the classic sense of the terms.
Unfortunately, liberals of the modern day have been fascist (at best) for a fairly long time; today's group is so horrendous, fascist might be a nicer term than they deserve......
Communists hijacked the word “Liberal”, like the Sodomites hijacked the term “Gay”.
We’ll see, words are cheap.
Yep. We’re entering crazy world; when you’re not allowed to express disgust, and then sent to a re-education camp as that NFL player was - we’re waaay beyond simply being in big trouble.
What is just as repugnant is that ESPN set this all up solely on the premise that this guy is gay...How many 248th draft picks have a camera waiting for them to be drafted???
How many 6 or 7th rounders have a crew at hand waiting for their reaction to being drafting almost at the very end of the draft???
This was all set up not because he was a great college football player, but ONLY because he said he was gay...
ESPN ought to be totally ashamed by this......
15 years ago sensitivity or diversity training was all the corporate rage. Are we now moving to thought camps?
