As opposed to meat, rice can be imported more easily. I was traveling in SE Asia early this year and rice was plentiful and cheap. On a side note, the chicken fried rice in Pattaya, Thailand tasted better than anything I have come across in USA Chinese restaurants.

expect it to get worse, they just released a study saying the evil farmers taking the ground water is putting stress on the S.A. faultline, expect King Obama to step in an outlaw farming in California...for the children don’t ya know.
