I decided to improve my family’s budget by removing mortgage and utility payments from the equation. I feel so much better now, running a surplus. Why didn’t I think of this sooner?

PS: Bank & power company are messing things up because they still expect to get paid. How uncooperative!

Congrats - we paid ours off a few years ago and it’s definitely helpful. My car note is up in September and it should add a nice boost for a few years. Careful planning might make it unnecessary to open the Alpo as I join my wife in retirement.
