The International Olympic Committee on Wednesday announced that it has awarded NBCUniversal the broadcast rights in the USA for the Olympic Games through 2032.
NBC was in competition with ABC/ESPN and Fox/Fox Sports.
Olympics? Probably haven’t watched it since 1984. Pro-basketball? Since 1974. Pro football? Less and less for the last ten years.
I couldn’t give a rat’s patootie.
NBC does a great job with the Premier League, too bad it doesn’t translate to the Olympics.
That was my point.
I wished NBC used the alternate channels that I have on AT&T U-verse (channels 1692-1697) in HD to broadcast all of the other events live.
I did not mind seeing the curling matches on CNBC after 5pm. I just wished the announcers for the curling were in Sochi instead of being in the studio in Stamford, CT like they do for Formula 1.
