Clint Bowyer is the official moonshine tester.
Your puttin your trust in him?
I heard 2 gallons too. If you draft too long you will let the smoke out of the engine!
O.K. Thanks, I was fixin to get my ears cleaned.
That’s just crazy talk!
Derby day today. Have to watch the ponies run...and the gals in the cool hats.
MiniBigOne!
O.K.- I’ll take Uncle Sigh
Still makes no sense to Me, heck I drink that much H2o in a day!
How the heck do you cool a V8 with that?
We got a cure for that!
Bubba Wallace IS NOT HAPPY!
Actually mrs p6 took General Arod to win and my picks...Uncle Sigh and Danza for place and show. All just $2 bets...no trifecta.
2 gallons...total? Our Durango can take that in the overflow.
There is one thing really ticking me off about the Derby coverage this year...besides Costas. NBC has some gay looking guy prancing around...wearing ladies hats and talking about “fashion.”
Been watching since noon...may not last!
Smoke must be the most important part in engines, buildings and computers. Good to know they are making replacements now.
And Elliott Sadler takes the win.
So at the Derby California Chrome wins...Uncle Sigh was in it but faded. I DID have Danza to show and he did. Probably won what I wagered...maybe...sigh.
FR Race Fans - it is Talladega time. Race on at 1 pm ET on Fox.
Hoping to make it back in by then, but what a beautiful weekend we are having.
Kahne and Truex Jr. qualifying times disallowed:
after qualifying for the Aaron’s 499 Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR announced that the times for #5-Kasey Kahne and #78-Martin Truex Jr. had been disallowed. Kahne’s car did not meet the minimum weight requirement and Truex Jr’s car did not meet minimum height requirement that is used for restrictor-plate tracks. Kahne will start 41st and Truex Jr will start 42nd. #5 crew chief Kenny Francis and Truex Jr. offered these quotes about the situation:
Kenny Francis, Crew chief of the #5 Farmer Insurance / Thankamillionteachers.com Chevy on the #5 teams time getting disallowed: “Basically we had a malfunction with a ballast container. The cap that holds the ballast in came out. It could be mechanical or human error we are not really sure what happened. At the end of the day 25 pounds of ballast came out and we were 25 pounds light at the scales. The time was disallowed and we will have to start at the back.”
Martin Truex Jr., #78 Furniture Row Chevy - time was disallowed after failing post qualifying inspection: “After positing the fastest practice speed yesterday, today’s result and infraction were disappointing to say the least. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we have a fast car for tomorrow’s race, and as we have said many times, qualifying really doesn’t mean that much here.”(Team Chevy)(5-4-2014)
How are pit stall's chosen? by qualifying results, the 1st choose their stall and so on. If a car/driver has to go to the rear of the field before the start of the race due to driver change, backup car, engine/transmission change, etc they do NOT lose their pit stall selection
Pit Stall Selections:
The selections of pit stalls for the Aaron’s 499 Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway have been made.
Pole sitter #33-Scott chose pit stall 17, the first pit stall in front of it.
Outside pole sitter #27-Menard took pit stall 1.
#47-Allmendinger, who starts 3rd took the 29th pit stall, the 2nd stall with an opening in front of it.
The 43rd and final pit stall was taken by #99-Edwards, who starts 10th.
To see where the drivers/teams pit stall is, see the pit selection chart on the above post.
Good race day morn to all!
Sorry I’ve been AWOL, but life, sometimes, has a way of interrupting what one would rather be doing; porch sitting with a fat stogie and a tumbler of scotch, FReeping and watching a live race....ya know, the finer things that a simple man would like to partake...I digress, I’M BACK!
Ma, the color of the ‘Vette is ‘bout right, but mine is in the shape of a Jeep. A Corvette couldn’t make it up my “driveway”. I heard last night on the DVR’d race about the two gallon cooling system. Hell I can piss that in the morning after a bender.
What’s next? The Aaron’s 499 pedal car race?

That was a bigtime head-on impact.
