To: Slings and Arrows
My animals are welcome to sleep on the bed with me. As long as they are clear that it's not a grooming station, gym, puke bucket, or platform for an animal operatic solo. Sleep, or get flying lessons.

The purring of my cat is rather like white noise and actually assists me in drifting off to sleep.

Agreed, sir. Although, I will say that there has been the time or two that I’ve riled up one of the critters, just to aggravate Mrs. PubliusMM.
Keeps things ‘fresh’, dontcha know.

Our three cats know that routine very well. They frequently get up close while we sleep and know how to get close without waking us. But, any unacceptable behavior will cause them to get an immediate and unceremonious boost to the floor. It’s a king bed and there is plenty of room as long as they respect our territory as the alpha cats.
