What is it with the Mentalist show two weeks in a row targeting Texas? Anyone else notice this? Last week it was the death penalty and this week it's an all male country club, also sprinkling in lesbianism. CBS
I’ve not heard of Dexter.
Discovered some talk on a forum that Don Draper will eventually kill himself. One of the reasons is that would explain the opening graphics...with him falling down past the ads. But there were a lot of other reasons...including use of oranges. Apparently oranges are a literary precursor of death. I never knew that. I thought the fact that the door to the terrace in NY was stuck open was perhaps a hint of things to come...and the fact that he was drawn out there despite the cold. Oh and the woman on the airplane...whose husband died of drink ...a maybe sign for DD and his future.
Anyway...I thought it was interesting.
How is unemployed Don Draper filling his days?
Going to the Safeway, picking up women in Produce?
drinking...from what I can tell. He has realized he’s a horrible husband. The guy is a mess.
“True stories” hand picked by liberals and taken artistic license to make them more liberal
I got hooked on Dexter, but the finale episode just didn’t ring true. It was very disappointing, as if they were leaving open the possibility of a movie later.
I don’t watch much (any) prime time network shows. but even though I’ve never seen two seconds of the show, I can bet any court room scenes never had a white, Christian male judge.
(on second thought, that bet is too easy).
True stories just the same.
Dad kicked in the head by a horse, Mom was a ho, died giving birth to him. He grew up in a hohaus.
His Wang has a mind of its own.
Yeah, he’s a train wreck. And don’t get him on the subject of Hershey chocolate bars!
:-O
Hopefully he’ll get his stuff together.
It’s easier to understand a fictional character being weighed down by living a lie than it is to watch someone we know is hiding his past and doesn’t seem to care....you know who I mean. :-)
True in a very general, vague way... Like Noah and the rock monsters
"You name it," said Jarrett. "That's part of why I'm in L.A. I'm meeting with writers of various TV shows and movies to try to get it into the scripts." When Jarrett says "it into the scripts," she's referring to getting references to Obamacare, the president's signature legislation, into the scripts of TV shows and movies.

I didn’t see Noah, but it did pretty good in the box office. If I was Hollywood, I would not do Christian movies because all we do is complain. God’s not dead is a good movie but it has only made around 40 million. Heaven is for real made 21 million so far. If I was Hollywood, I would concentrate on “Hunger Games” and Spiderman. They make the most money. And why deal with a bunch of complainers who don’t appreciate a dang thing.
I don’t know what network is which...
So I have to ask..are you saying Survivor is wholesome?
I’ve not seen this show lately. Don’t tell me the female detective, Lisbon, has gone lesbian in the show? Hope not. The Red John story line ran aground a long time ago. Show has sorta jumped the shark, but I liked Lisbon.
Yes I do. Did you catch the show where Don was talking about both Nixon and Kennedy: “Self-made man vs. a trust fund kid”?
I suppose St. Megan is patiently waiting for him in Hollywood?
Don’s definitely conservative, he just happens to be a hound. But he’s no pathological narcissist.
Megan is moving on with her life - totally into her new career. She lives in the Hollywood hills where one can hear the coyotes, which DD didn’t like but she did. She wasn’t really interested in sex at first. I guess DD realizes it’s over.
One thing - the attractive woman next to him on the plane back to NY offered herself to him and he turned her down. That’s got to be a first.
Maybe he will also get remorseful and off himself. One can hope.
Noah had a mediocre opening, dropped sixty-two percent its second weekend, is still dropping, and won’t break even.
It’s a box office failure.
I started screaming at the NCIS writers quite some time ago. I do not really watch TV much, but got sucked into NCIS one year when my daughter bought the 1st season for my husband for Christmas. I don’t really think my husband noticed what they were doing until I started pointing it out. It is also interesting to see who is in positions of power regarding the pecking order of the shows characters. Same with Castle and others. It was subtle at first, but not so now.
Actually, I read the backstory on that issue. This guy gave testimony to the FBI back in 2000 and made absolutely no mention of Bryan singer at all. Because he was a nobody when the abuse happened. His big movie, the X-men didn’t come out until 2000, long after the abuse.
Singer has a highly anticipated movie coming out within a couplt weeks and I think he was looking for a payday.
