“I’ve been saving cardboard toilet paper tubes to try with carrots. My seed tape carrots aren’t getting any bigger. The tops are still dinky..”

I’ve been saving those tubes, too. How would you use those for carrot seed exactly? That sounds interesting. I’m very disappointed in my carrot growing.

I didn’t know carrots came on a tape (or did you do that yourself?). Since I got no lettuce from the tape I have, I wouldn’t try it for carrots if you buy it that way.

Every one of the smallest pots you see in those photos has a plant or plants that must go in larger pots soon.

I think the carrot seed tape is about $2.87. It has three 9 foot rows of Scarlet Nantes carrots. Mine are Burpee Brand.

The toilet paper tube thing is to fill the tubes with soil, tie them together so they stand up, plant one carrot in each tube, and then when it’s transplant time, just put the whole tube in the ground with the green top exposed.

I think some people just use half a tube. I really wanted to try it with Daikon Radishes as I have no luck with those.

In your pics, I saw a plant with serrated leaves which looked to be a member of the mint family. Is that your lemon balm or something else?
