Thanks. & Keep us updated, please.
I would not be surprised if the feds tried to take over the wells. But I don’t think it may be the case. There was no endangered 3 striped frog that shut it down as is the MO with the federal government.
On another note they dug 22,000 feet deep? Were dinosaurs living down there??? This should concernt the peak oil people that oil is as natural part of geology as granite.
May be OT, (maybe NOT), but recent “reports” of a % of population of Alaskans wanting to be a part of Russia struck me as...possible propoganda.

The fed came in on the some day six gushers hit?
How did they know they would hit that day?
Color me skeptical.
Can federal officials shut down wells and bring it under federal control? Can they use federal contractors to pump oil and transport it to strategic petroleum storage?
I believe it is a hard fact that locations and news blackouts surrounding strategic petroleum reserve activities is the norm for reasons of national security. The only news I believe the public is allowed to hear is when the federal government puts strategic reserves up for sale.
Let me tell ya’ll a story
‘Bout a man named Barack
A true Communist
In a two-bit lawyer’s frock
One day as his wife
Stuffed her pie hole full of food
Some North Dakota drillers
Hit a gusher of crude
Oil, that is
Black Gold
Tax it for me
Barack told the drillers
“Hey, get away from there!
That black liquid goo
Puts too much carbon in the air!
Windmills and gerbil power
That’s the way it out to be
So I hereby seize this land
By Imperial Decree!”
AlGore Fools...
Movie Stars...
It’s only a matter of time before Obama/the feds seize the Bakken and other oil/gas fields, citing the national interest. For further information and in-depth analysis of current events, I recommend “Atlas Shrugged.”
Yes, I asked that question above in the main body; how in the world would they know so quickly? Maybe it is a requirement for drillers to report to government offices immediately when oil is struck?
It's best to get your news from big cities, and big networks...Like LA Times, Fox and CNN....You betcha...
They have no agenda, and you know they never manipulate events..

22,000 ft deep? I thought the Bakken play wasn’t near that depth. I guess they
could be test dilling much deeper but six holes from the same platform for testing?
Note the lease location.
BLM with mineral rights?
Private land with mineral rights but feederal oversight.
Too many tentacles make for confusion. The Feds step in to fill the void and it becomes a long and arduous effort to get it straightened out; menawhile, the FEDS get the proceeds.
Good sarcasm. It’s just observations and questions at this point.
I wish I had a friend or relative inside the federal government close to this activity but I don’t. I have a brother in Special Forces that is high up in DIA but he doesn’t know anything about this. The military and intelligence agencies operate on compartmentalization, so it’s always difficult to get any facts that can be verified.
So we can only throw it out there and wait to see what else unfolds.
Whatever county in ND this happened in likely has a weekly gossip sheet, which usually hears about anything unusual.
I understand the six well heads are used with directional drilling with attached cameras and sensors.
I would expect the different drill heads were taken in different directions out many miles from each other and many miles deep. When all well heads gushed (if truely reported), this would give credence to an ‘ocean of oil’.
Yes KFYR is a good listen on all things Bakken.
I have been inside the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Bryan Mound facility for work.
I do not agree this could be in any way related to SPR. Anyone thinking or claiming the SPR includes production fields doesn't understand their operation, purpose and how they function.
Color you wise and informed.
Maybe the feds have 'agents' stationed at all deep drilling fields to make 'timely' reports.
Surely they have at least one EPA and one Sierra Club agent at every dig for 'environmental' purposes.
