In the ‘70’s I had a business partner...

Just out of curiosity, how was he as a business partner before he, uh, blew up? Was he sociopathic? charming? Distracted? Honest/self-serving? I've had some less-than-desirable, but not-hospitalized partners in the past, myself.

He was an utterly charming sociopath. He was stealing from the first moment and I had no idea as I was a total business and interpersonal virgin. Ten years later when the judge signed a million dollar award, he tossed it across his desk and said, “Lot’s of luck collecting.” (Florida is a debtor haven state.)

As time went on he took more and more advantage of people leaving ever-more wrecked lives, ex-wives, abandoned children, you name it. I lost track a long time ago. But had I realized such a strong reaction to such a small dose of pot was a screaming symptom, I’d have backed away early and saved myself a lot of grief.
