Assuming the 800k yr high is correct, doesn’t that simply show there is not a strong correlation between CO2 level and temperature? Surely there have been plenty of periods since 798,000 B.C. when it was lots warmer than it is now. Maybe the fact that there is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere means only that there is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere. Maybe when it gets warmer CO2 increases, but not as much as the increase from fossil fuel usage. Either way, CO2 doesn’t change the climate.
