I doctored all the cucurbit with BT. I inject a little into their tiny little stems, so that if vine borers get in, they die instantly.

I intend to have squash and cantaloupe this year.

I am curious, are you using the same BT that is effective against cabbage loopers and such? For example Dipel(tm)?
I probably won’t use it at the farm. Too lazy. Planning on four acres of cucurbits this summer.

If I do that, it will be the first and only time that I will have used it or any other such stuff. Usually I use the pepper,garlic,onion,oil and dishwashing liquid mixture.

If that doesn’t do it, I just let it go. I’ll have to think on it a bit more.
