Has anyone used a polygonal rifle barrel?

I just bought one today for an AR15 build.

I’ve not heard of this in a rifle barrel before.

My Henry ‘Big Boy’ .357mag has a Octagonal barrel:

Never tried one on an AR-15/M4.

I have used polygonal barrels on many Com Block pistols.
Glock is polygonal.

Never seen a polygonal rifle barrel.

Is that the same as button rifing?

A hammer forged barrel is the most durable, I think.
