What a worry-wart. Stop fretting. Eat as much rice as you want. The more oil and butter you use the better.

It doesn’t take a lot of brains to point out that the problem is “oil, butter or ghee,” not rice. And then blame it on the rice.
The real problem would seem to be inbreeding. And a society where no one is allowed to question or correct the designated authority figures.

“Allah does not like extravagance.” Tell that to the Saudi rulers with all their wives, in addition to all those jihadis and their extra heads—how does that work? Do these Islamic people want to be taken seriously? This is a joke, but one forced upon everyone other than themselves.

The liver, which produces biochemicals that are necessary for digestion, also suffers. The glucose derived from rice remains in the liver without being converted into glycogen, and therefore starts a fight with the pancreas, which is the gland that produces enzymes to regulate blood sugar and fluids that help with digestion. Thus, not only is the stomach at risk but also the liver and kidneys and, ultimately, our bodies are the losers.the Saudi food experts have me confused. Are they saying it's rice itself that causes the problems or just when butter is added?

From the article:
"The glucose derived from rice remains in the liver without being converted into glycogen, ..." More than one type of "glucose"? This is news to me.

I suggest vegan diets all around for these people. The sooner they abandon traditional diets and concomitant beliefs the better. Their society will disintegrate soon; soon enough for our to still have some life left.

Oil & butter is necessary to counter-balance the overdose of low quality carbs in rice. Add to the list of rice eaters from SE Asia..south Indians. Common thread? All rice eaters are more intelligent compared to others. Must be some brain food in rice somewhere in there.
